To ensure our water system meets and exceeds state and federal drinking water quality standards, we perform a variety of source and distribution system water quality samples throughout the year.
These water quality samples are conducted to proportionately gauge the quality of the water we serve all the way to your tap. Tests and samples are performed consistently depending on the needs of our water system and requirements outlined in US EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Act. Some tests and samples are performed daily, most weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, or by a frequency specified by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA).
